If the gifts at a kwanjula ceremony signify how a bride is valued by her man, then Eseza of Omuto is a gem, though she is approaching 60.
Eseza, man literally broke the bank and filled the Katende compound with lots of gifts. They included a new Toyota Raum. Lots of chicken for the bako, but there was no goat because Eseza and her man have been together since the 1980s and they have children to show for their decades of cohabiting.
