Golola wins in 50 seconds, but was the fight stage managed?

Golola Moses of Uganda knocked out Thai fighter Wathaporn Kamunstorn in just 50 seconds at Kati Kati Grounds on Saturday night.

The fight that was broadcast on NBS TV saw Golola become the new World Kick boxing Federation (WKF) K1 champion in the light weight category.

His opponent lay on the canvas for close to 10 minutes as a first aid team attended to him while Golola danced around the ring and talked big in his usual braggadocio.

“I thank God for this victory. Like David Vs Goliath, the person with the best weapon always wins. I did not go to Mabira for nothing,” the fighter who camped in Mabira forest ahead of the fight said.

Was the fight stage managed?

Many fans were unconvinced by Golola’s victory and think the fight was stage managed. Below are some of the Facebook comments.

Ugandan sports website kawowo.com says Kamunstorn has had 71 fights, with 52 victories (25 of them knock outs) but there is not data about this fighter on the Internet. In fact all four reports about him by the time of our Google search are from Ugandan news agencies. This points to the fact that he could have picked off the Thailand streets to come and fall in the ring in Kampala.

The only info on the fighter is from Ugandan web sources.

“After the fight that looked to be a ‘FIXED’ Match, I decided to try googling about that Wathaporn chap. Truth is, the name ‘ KAMUNSTORN WATHAPORN’ doesn’t exist in Grandpa’s Database (GOOGLE). But a man who has 70 fights, 52 victories (25 knock outs) and 18 losses… u can’t tell me that there’s absolutely nothing written about him on the Internet. The only results Google generates are the articles from Ugandan Media Agencies.

CONCLUSION:
Golola connived with Organiser Maureen (INTERSPORT) and they brought some ka nigga who’s not a KICKBOXER hence reaping Ugandans off their hard earned money.

This is one of the reasons why KICKBOXING will die out like other UG sports just because balowooza tuli BASIRU,” a kick boxing fan Andrew Kitamirike summed up the farce on his Facebook wall.
