After a successful album launch of Kyarenga on Saturday at One Love Beach that has been dubbed by colleagues as the best since independence, Bobi Wine has been announced as one of the speakers of the forthcoming Africa Music Business Summit in Ghana.
The summit that is meant to leverage opportunities in the music sector for Africans will also play host to Angela Martins, African Union head of social affairs, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Ghana’s Tourism Minister, Catherine Afeku among other musicians, experts and power brokers.
According to Nde Nkifonka, the event’s curator, Bobi Wine has been selected for his tenacity, courage and dedication.
“AFRIMA is a panel discussion and a master class platform to interrogate, strategise and charting ways for the African talents and business of music in Africa. This is our fifth edition,” he said.
The event will take place at Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast, Accra, from on Thursday, November 22, 2018.
Expected participants are African artistes, music professionals, music executives, policymakers and government officials, African Union officials, publishing companies, record label owners, arts and culture Gurus, media owners and other stakeholders in the African music.
