Dei Group of Companies has officially unveiled Bella Grain Wheat Flour, a premium, locally produced flour brand crafted to serve both industrial and household baking needs.
The launch event, held at Kampala Sheraton Hotel, featured remarks from Ronald Ssemakula Katali, General Manager of Dei Group, who emphasized the brand’s commitment to solving quality and consistency challenges faced by bakers across Uganda.
“Bella Grain is a proudly Ugandan product created to deliver consistent quality and superior yields. It’s more than flour—it’s a solution,” Katali said. “With Bella Grain, bakers get more dough from every kilogram, thanks to its high water absorption capacity.”
Produced under Dei Industries International Ltd, Bella Grain adheres to international production standards. It features specialized variants like Bakers’ Flour for commercial bread and Home Baking Flour for chapatis, mandazi, and pastries.

“This is our way of thanking loyal customers after a decade of support,” Katali added. “We’ve rebranded and returned to the market with a product that raises the bar.”
Unlike conventional flour with a standard 13.5% moisture content, Bella Grain’s optimized formula allows bakers to add more water—boosting output without sacrificing quality.
Ahead of the launch, the company deployed 50 marketers nationwide to gather feedback, which Katali said was overwhelmingly positive. “From all corners of the country, bakers are welcoming a Ugandan brand that meets global standards.”
Dr. Mathias Magoola, Managing Director of Dei Group, praised customer loyalty for fueling the company’s growth—from a small maize operation at Tirupati Mall to a major industrial player.

“Our ambition is to become Uganda’s leading taxpayer and create over 40,000 jobs,” Dr. Magoola stated. “We’re grateful to the government for enabling businesses like ours to thrive.”
Executive Director Ms. Kellen Magoola highlighted Dei Group’s 10-year experience in wheat flour production and reaffirmed the company’s dedication to quality and supply reliability.
“We’re back stronger. Our competitors should be ready—we lead with excellence in every industry we enter,” she concluded.
