Commander-in-Chief, President Yoweri Museveni, has appointed Arthur Mugyenyi as the Director General of the Internal Security Organisation (ISO).
Mugyenyi replaces Gen. Charles Oluka, who died in January this year.
In a similar development, Tony Kinyera Apecu has been appointed Deputy Director General of ISO, replacing Col. Emmy Katabazi, who has been appointed as Deputy Ambassador.
ISO’s primary purpose is to detect and prevent politically motivated crimes, provide intelligence on terrorism and organised crime, and detect threats to the social and economic sectors.
