AfriDigital, the parent company of NRG Uganda, has appointed Julius Kyazze to a leadership role, in which he will oversee strategic expansion into youth-driven broadcast media.
Kyazze, a highly respected figure in the entertainment and creative business, has joined the NRG Uganda board and will lead strategy for the group. His focus will be on brand development, programming direction, and continental growth as AfriDigital strengthens its position in the regional media landscape.
Widely known for his role in building Swangz Avenue, Buzz Group Africa, and The Quollective, Kyazze says his venture into media aligns with his vision of developing African-led platforms that merge culture, creativity, and commerce.

Despite his new role, he will continue leading his existing businesses while leveraging his expertise to redefine radio and content for Africa’s next generation.
“This isn’t a shift—it’s a scale-up,” Kyazze said. “AfriDigital/NRG represents the kind of bold, unapologetic energy that speaks to today’s African youth, and I’m thrilled to help shape its future as we push into new markets.”
AfriDigital’s founder and chairman, Alykhan Hudani, praised Kyazze’s appointment, stating: “Julius brings a unique mix of vision, execution, and deep cultural insight that aligns perfectly with where we’re taking NRG. We’re excited to build the future of African media together.”
