Ugandan striker Fahad Aziz Bayo has won a contract dispute against Czech club MFK Vyškov after a ruling by the FIFA Football Tribunal’s Dispute Resolution Chamber. The club must pay him $55,000 (Shs209 million) or face a transfer ban until the payment is made.
Vyškov cited Bayo’s absence as the reason for terminating his contract but failed to prove just cause.
Bayo was released by the Czech Republic’s second-division side MFK Vyškov at the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.
Before his stint in the Czech Republic, he played for Israeli sides Bnei Sakhnin and FC Ashdod. He has also previously played for Uganda Premier League side Vipers Sports Club and Proline FC, as well as Zambian top-flight outfit Buildcon FC.
On the national team, Bayo has established himself as an integral figure for the Cranes. Since debuting in 2019, he has earned 25 caps, scoring nine goals and providing four assists.
