Reports reaching us indicate that gospel artist Levixone and US-based fellow musician Desire Luzinda are set to hold a secret Kwanjula ceremony this weekend.
The Kwanjula will reportedly take place in Katalemwa, Matugga, at Desire Luzinda’s parents’ home. Sources reveal that Luzinda flew back to Uganda early this week to prepare for the event.
For years, fans have speculated about a deeper connection between the two gospel singers, fueled by their heartfelt performances at each other’s events and affectionate social media interactions.
Levixone describes Luzinda as a “wonderful woman of God” and a “tremendous blessing” in his life, while Luzinda calls Levixone a “man of God.”
“People should get ready—it’s going to be a celebration like no other,” he said with excitement. “I want this event to last at least three days so that everyone, especially those from the Kosovo slums where I grew up, can be part of it. This is not just about me; it’s about giving back and sharing joy with the community.”
He added, “The wedding isn’t far off. We’re just working on the finances to make it truly special.”
Now, with the Kwanjula reportedly slated for this weekend, wedding bells must be in the air.
Kwanjula is the most important celebration in a Buganda marriage ceremony. Among the Baganda, the Kwanjula (introduction) ceremony takes place when a prospective groom is introduced to his future in-laws.
