It would be an absolute injustice to discuss the Afro-soul music genre in Uganda without mentioning Naava Grey.
The Nteredde singer has taken a significant break from releasing new music, yet her previous work continues to dominate media playlists and resonate with fans. Songs like Nteredde, Aliba Wani, Ninga Omuloge, and Sokalami remain timeless favorites.
Naava is set to make a grand return with a Valentine’s Day show, the Naava Grey Live Symphonic Concert, scheduled to take place at Serena Hotel.
In a recent interview, Naava revealed that her fans have long requested a concert and were particular about the venue—they wanted it at Serena.
“I am loyal to my fans just as they are loyal to me. I am ready to deliver a memorable experience,” she said.
She further disclosed that several artists she has collaborated with will also grace the stage on February 14.
“Mun G, Andy Music, and Bruno K are among the artists who will join me on stage,” she added.
Naava Grey made her breakthrough in 2008 through Tusker Project Fame, and since then, she has consistently delivered exceptional music. Her talent has caught the attention of international record labels, including Sony Music, as well as industry heavyweights such as M.I Abaga and Speed, among others.
