Singer and songwriter Naava Grey has revealed that the music industry is deeply intertwined with spirituality, describing it as a battleground of spiritual warfare.

Speaking during an interview on UBC’s Horizon Vibe, Naava shared her personal experiences, admitting she was initially unaware of the spiritual dynamics at play when she entered the industry.

“I came into the music world thinking it was all about talent and hard work,” Naava said. “But I later discovered that some people engage in spiritual practices to manipulate success and control destinies.”

Naava recounted a troubling period in her career, where she felt spiritually bound by individuals around her without her knowledge or consent. She declined to provide specific details but said that such incidents have taught her to remain vigilant and spiritually grounded.

“Life itself is spiritual,” Naava explained. “It’s easy for someone to exchange or interfere with your destiny if you are not aware of what’s happening around you. I feel sorry for those who don’t recognise this truth.”

She advised fellow artists to lean on their faith in God rather than putting trust in people, who she warned can often disappoint.

“Trust God above all. People can betray you, but God never will,” she urged.

Naava’s reflections come ahead of her much-anticipated Valentine’s Day concert, scheduled for February 14 at the Kampala Serena Hotel. Fenon Events, renowned for its expertise in event production and management, will take charge of the stage design, sound engineering, and lighting setup for the event.
