The Singleton, the world’s number one single malt whisky is set to host an unforgettable night filled with incredible flavours and a touch of intrigue, dubbed ‘The Dinner in the Dark.’
The Dinner in the Dark is slated for this Thursday, December 19th, at The Emin Pasha Hotel & Spa, in Nakasero.
But, before the grand event, food enthusiasts will have a chance to meet the main celebrant of the day- Kenya’s Chef Raphael, during an exclusive meet and greet, slated for Tuesday, December 12th, at Emin Pasha.
The intimate gathering will be an exciting experience that shall take guests on a journey into Chef Raphael’s creative process, his inspiration for the Dinner in the Dark menu, and tips for enjoying food as a multi-sensory experience.
Guests can look forward to mingling with fellow foodies, as well as a sneak peek into the culinary magic that awaits at the main event on December 19th.
The Meet and Greet shall set the stage for the much-anticipated Dinner in the Dark, a one-of-a-kind sensory dining experience designed to awaken any palate.
Guests will be blindfolded as they experience a multi-course journey through flavours and textures.
This will be heightened by the immersive transformation of Kudara Hall into a lush equatorial forest, complete with natural scents and sounds.
“Dinner in the Dark is a unique concept that celebrates fine cuisine, sensory exploration, and exceptional whisky pairings. It will be a sensory journey, pairing exquisite cuisine with the smooth richness of Singleton whisky. We can’t wait to share this unforgettable experience with food lovers, and we hope this duo of events will elevate the December calendar for food enthusiasts,” said Christine Kyokunda, the Singleton Brand Manager.
Come Thursday, guests should look forward to enjoy a pre-dinner virtual reality journey through a mystical forest, followed by expertly curated Singleton cocktails. Each course crafted by Chef Raphael will feature locally sourced ingredients, as well as whisky-infused dishes, offering a fusion of tradition and innovation.
