The Makindye Chief Magistrates Court has remanded popular musician Patrick Mulwana, better known as Alien Skin, to Luzira Prison on robbery charges.
The remand order was issued by Chief Magistrate Esther Adikin on Wednesday, after Alien Skin pleaded not guilty.
According to the prosecution, the musician allegedly robbed Mubiru Salim in Makindye Division, Kampala District, in September 2024.
Salim claims Alien Skin took his black iPhone 15 Pro Max, valued at Shs3.5 million as well as Shs480,000 in cash and a wallet containing his national identification card.
Prosecutors further allege that Alien Skin used violence during the robbery.
Chief Magistrate Adikin ordered that Alien Skin be held in custody at Luzira Prison until December 9, 2024, to allow further investigations into the case.
Alien Skin’s arrest on November 20 followed a separate incident at Nsambya Hospital, where chaos reportedly erupted after the death of Joram Tumwesigye, a member of the musician’s Fangone Entertainment Crew.
Tumwesigye had been admitted to the hospital following a road accident in Makindye, but police reported that he died approximately an hour later.
The incident at the hospital allegedly involved an altercation in which a doctor and two security guard were assaulted.
