The rivalry between Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine shows no signs of slowing down. Despite each pursuing separate paths—Bebe Cool remaining active in music and Bobi Wine shifting into politics—both occasionally take jabs at one another.
The latest remarks come from Bebe Cool, who in a recent live TikTok session asserted that his societal status and influence are greater than those of Bobi Wine.
Bebe Cool claimed that he regularly meets with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to discuss projects that benefit the nation, suggesting that this proximity to the president demonstrates his importance and productivity.
“I always sit with the President and I suggest projects that can benefit Ugandans. The President listens and implements them,” Bebe Cool stated, further emphasizing that, in his view, real productivity means supporting initiatives that help Ugandans, rather than, as he put it, “playing on the pain of Ugandans” for political gain.
The feud between these two figures dates back over two decades, rooted in both personal and ideological differences.
Bebe Cool, a prominent supporter of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), remains focused on his music career and recently expanded into the stone quarry business.
In contrast, Bobi Wine—leader of the opposition party National Unity Platform (NUP)—has become a leading political figure in Uganda. He ran for the presidency in 2021, finishing as the primary challenger to President Museveni, and has announced plans to run again in the 2026 presidential election.
