The Blankets and Wine festival made a vibrant return to Lugogo Grounds on Sunday, enchanting attendees with a vibrant mix of music, art, and unique experiences.
The main stage buzzed with electrifying performances from a lineup that included Andereya Baguma, BLU 3, Karun, Sun El Musician X Simmy, Joshua Baraka, Mootownoh, and Kivumbi King.
For fans of DJ culture, the ‘Onja Onja Stage’ offered high-energy sets from talented DJs like Etania, Flo Moon, R3ign Drops, Masaka Masaka, and That Guy Em.
Rain may have threatened the festivities, but the crowd’s enthusiasm never waned, particularly during Joshua Baraka’s set. Following his performance, the highly anticipated BLU 3 took to the stage, but with a twist—they first showcased their individual talents before uniting for a captivating group performance.
They opened with “Strong Woman,” then seamlessly transitioned through hits like “Hitaji,” “Mutima Gwange,” “Frisky Remix,” “Where You Are,” and “Burn,” featuring a surprise guest appearance by Navio.
Designed to be family-friendly, the festival included a dedicated area with bouncy castles, allowing children under 12 to enter for free. A variety of vendors also contributed to the lively atmosphere, offering food, drinks, fashion, and crafts.
Overall, Blankets and Wine was a resounding celebration of music and community, leaving attendees eagerly anticipating the next event.
