JKL Lady Dolphins will face UCU Lady Canons today in Game Five of the women’s division finals of the National Basketball League at the Lugogo Indoor Arena in Kampala. The game tips off at 7pm.
The best-of-seven series is tied 2-2 after the Lady Dolphins, the title holders, defeated the Lady Canons 60-53 in their last encounter (Wednesday) to even the series.
Having trailed 0-2 in the series, the Lady Dolphins will now aim to take the lead in their title defense, but the Lady Canons are determined to fight back and reclaim the advantage.
For Game Five, the Lady Dolphins will rely on Jane Asinde, who starred in their previous match with a double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds. Brenda Ekone, who contributed 10 points in the win, will also be crucial.
For the Lady Canons, Shillah Lamunu and Shakirah Nanvubya each scored 14 points in the last game, with Nanvubya also grabbing 10 rebounds. Their strong performances will be vital as UCU aims to regain the series lead.
The winner of Game Five will gain a significant advantage, being just one win away from the title.
