VIDEO: Speaker Among introduces her twins to Pope Francis

The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, met Pope Francis during a private engagement at the Vatican Palace in Vatican City. The meeting happened on Saturday.

In a video shared by the Office of the Speaker, Anita Among is seen kneeling to greet the Pope before the two start having a conversation.

The Speaker then proceeds to present her twins to the Pope, who blesses them.

In August last year, Anita Among, who was set to celebrate her 50th birthday, travelled to Rome, where she met Pope Francis.

It was during this meeting that Among disclosed her pregnancy to the Pope. With evident joy, she said, “I am also pregnant; I want you to bless my baby.”

In response, Pope Francis blessed her unborn child with a gentle sign of the cross on her visibly growing belly.

Two months later, Speaker Among and her husband, Moses Magogo, welcomed a set of twins.
