Lujja Tabula, the prime suspect in the murder of Ndiga clan head Engineer Daniel Bbosa, has said that he does not regret hiring Enock Sserunkuuma (deceased) and Lujja Noah to kill the Ndiga clan head on February 25, 2024.
Tabula made the revelation as security operatives in plain clothes escorted him into Mwanga 2 Court in Kampala today.
The prime suspect was brought to court at around 3 p.m. (EAT) in a drone car with registration number UBJ 749B amidst tight security.
After the security operatives got him out of the car to escort him to the court chambers, he smilingly confessed that he paid the two killers to help him exact revenge for the murder of his father, Israel Kalyesubula, in 1989. He accused the former clan head of being behind the murder of his father.
Tabula also accused him of selling Ndiga clan land in the Mpigi district. The prime suspect further claimed to be the rightful Ndiga clan head.
In a court presided over by Grade One Magistrate Adams Byarugaba, Tabula was formally charged with murder and remanded to Luzira prison. He joins five other suspects, including Noah Lujja, who is accused of pulling the trigger, Harriet Nakiguli, Joseph Nakabale, Ezra Mayanja, and Milly Naluwenda, who are also on remand. They will return to court on October 3, 2024.
After the court session, security operatives took Lujja Tabula to his shrine in the Mpigi district, where 17 human skulls were found.
Tabula told the security operatives that the skulls found at his shrine are those of his great-grandparents and parents who died years ago.
He explained that they were exhumed after the land where they were buried was sold, and so he decided to bring them to his shrine.
After the visit to his shrine, Tabula was transported to Luzira prison.
