A video of State Minister for Minerals Phiona Nyamutoro serving juice to her fiancé, singer Eddy Kenzo, and other individuals, including singer Alien Skin, has sparked mixed reactions on social media.
While some praise the minister, others criticize her for downplaying her status.
Supporters argue that Nyamutoro is simply fulfilling her duties as a wife, with DobsonFiffi stating, “At home, you have to put your job aside and put on the role of home, this is it – a wife taking her responsibility to her husband.” Mpanga Abdul adds, “Love is a very beautiful thing if it’s found.”
On the other hand, critics believe the minister should maintain a level of decorum, with @rolandnwe commenting, “But guys, let us learn to respect our parents’ efforts, I don’t think the parents of Nyamutoro sent her to school to end up like this!”
Ivaan256 takes a different stance, saying, “Minister is serving her king, and there is you with your forced accent and fake perfume.”
Aiko Philp notes, “Marriage life is quite different from professional life…it’s a woman and man…submissiveness regardless of status quo.”
As Matooke Republic, we remain neutral, believing individuals are entitled to their choices as long as they don’t harm others.
