UBA Uganda, through its UBA Foundation, has conducted a literacy drive at Restore Leadership High School in Gulu, as part of its ongoing “Read Africa” initiative.
The program aims to cultivate a reading culture among students across Africa, and UBA Uganda is leading the charge in the region.
A team of UBA Uganda staff, led by Julius Mukana, Head of Compliance, and Hoziana Niyonsaba, Head of Marketing, visited the school and donated a collection of English and Literature books to enrich the students’ knowledge and inspire a passion for reading.
The team also provided dustbins to promote cleanliness and sustainability within the school environment.
During the visit, Mukana and Niyonsaba emphasized the importance of education and reading, encouraging students to study hard and make reading a lifelong habit.
The school’s Head Teacher, Opiyo John Bosco, expressed his gratitude for UBA Uganda’s support, highlighting the significance of such contributions in shaping the future of the students.
As the program continues to roll out across Uganda, UBA remains dedicated to making a positive impact on the communities it serves, ensuring that every student has the resources they need to succeed.
