Speke Resort Muyonyo has hosted world leaders and big celebrities, but not many are as exciting at least for the resort’s proprietor Dr Sudhir Ruparelia as his latest guests, four Crested Crane couples!
The Crested Crane is Uganda’s national bird and it is always exciting when sighted. It is one of Uganda’s most charismatic birds because of its beauty. Little wonder, Sudhir was also excited about the sighting and posted the news of his resort’s esteemed guests on social media.
“Four pairs of Crested Cranes our National Bird at Speke Resort Munyonyo. Really Amazing,” he posted.
One fun fact about Crested Cranes is that are monogamous and they keep their spouses for life.
The leafy lakeside resort has remained a haven for nature, co-existing in harmony with Uganda’s flora and fauna. Some of the common species at the resort are tens of monkeys that are always playfully darting from tree to tree and occasionally relaxing by the poolside. They are not afraid to interact with their half-brothers; the humans.
The five-star resort offers ultimate in luxury accommodation and leisure facilities together with the finest conference and business meeting locations in East Africa.
