Police in Kampala are investigating the circumstances under which an Indian national jumped to his death from the fourth floor of Skyz Hotel in Naguru.

However, at around 12:30 PM on June 3, the man jumped from the fourth floor of the building in front of the hotel entrance, breaking his arm.

He was removed by hotel staff and rushed to UMC Bukoto. The management informed the police, who decided to further transport him to Mulago Hospital, but he was pronounced dead en route.

Kampala Metropolitan deputy police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, confirmed the incident, explaining that their preliminary investigations reveal that the deceased had checked into room 1402 with a yet-to-be-identified lady with whom he spent the night.

He, however, stated that they’re yet to establish why the man decided to jump off the building. His body is at Mulago City Mortuary for a postmortem as investigations into the death continue.
