The family of the former Uganda Cranes Goalkeeping Coach Fred Kajoba, who died on Monday in a hospital in Tanzania, has released his burial program, which indicates that his body is expected to be flown home today for a requiem service at the deceased’s home in Entebbe Municipality, Wakiso District.
The body will then be taken to a funeral home ahead of a mass at Rubaga Cathedral on Thursday.
After the mass, the body will be taken for a night vigil at FUFA House in Mengo, from where it will be taken to his parents’ home in Kasubi.
On Saturday, the body will be taken to Kiwawu along Mityana Road for another vigil ahead of burial on Sunday.
The former Vipers and Bright Stars head coach succumbed to an unknown illness on Monday at a hospital in Tanzania.
Kajoba played as a goalkeeper for the Uganda Cranes and also went on to be the goalkeeping coach for the National Team. He was part of the technical team that guided Uganda Cranes to the 2017 and 2019 AFCON finals.
On Tuesday, a moment of silence was observed during all Uganda Premier League (UPL) games in honour of his contribution to Ugandan football.
At the time of his passing, he was the goalkeeping coach at the Tanzanian side Ihefu FC.
