Singer Pius Mayanja, alias Pallaso, has been involved in a verbal altercation with a hotel neighbour who happens to be a tourist from France. The incident is said to have happened at a hotel in Kyenjojo, but we are yet to confirm exactly when it occurred.
Pallaso and his group booked a hotel and decided to throw a party where they played very loud music. However, the tourist, who had also booked at the same hotel, confronted them, asking them to reduce their music as it was keeping other people at the hotel sleepless and uncomfortable.
In the video circulating on social media, Pallaso is heard telling the tourist, “In my country, I do what I want. I am Ugandan; I do what I want. When I leave Uganda, I do what they want.”
The tourist asked Pallaso whether he is above the law, to which he responded, “I am the Law.”
This prompted the tourist to call on the police officer guarding the premises, but they were also unable to tame Pallaso and his group, who insisted they were going to do anything as they pleased.
The video has attracted mixed reactions, with many expressing opinions regarding noise regulations and individual freedoms.
