Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, who is currently at Nairobi Hospital in Kenya, has stated that he is in stable health condition and on course to full recovery.
Lukwago revealed that he is undergoing treatment for spinal ailments.
“I have been here for a couple of days battling a spine/cervical disc bulge that has compressed the nerve roots, causing numbness and excruciating pain in the back and left arm,” Lukwago said.
However, he exhibited hope and strength for a better recovery soon.
This is the third time Lukwago has been flown to Nairobi for medical reasons. In 2020, the Lord Mayor was admitted to Nairobi Hospital after being diagnosed with acute anaphylaxis, which persisted during treatment.
In 2021, he was flown to Kenya for further treatment days after collapsing during a requiem mass for the late Kampala Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga.
At Matooke Republic, we wish Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago a quick recovery.
