The National Unity Platform (NUP) party’s Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine, has urged Ugandans to cease supporting him or any other individual, as the struggle to dislodge the current government extends beyond individuals.
According to Bobi Wine, Ugandans should support what he stands for, which is the truth.
“I don’t need supporters because I’ve been supported for decades as a musician. I need people who support our cause for liberation. Don’t support me, but support what I stand for: the truth,” said Bobi Wine during a burial in Kakiri.
The former presidential candidate called upon the youth to take up the duty of securing their future by involving themselves in the decision-making process regarding the main issues that affect their lives, namely the politics of their countries.
“As NUP, we have continuously awakened the youth to stand against the rampant injustice and corruption in our country,” he said.
He urged Ugandans to continue pressuring their leaders to address the issues that affect them.
