Former Finance Minister Gerald Ssendaula has wedded his partner Edith Nakubulwa. The ceremony took place on Saturday.
The couple exchanged their vows at Uganda Martyrs Basilica Munyonyo before hosting a glamorous reception at St Kalooli Lwanga Ggaba Parish Reception Gardens in Makindye.
The event was attended by various notable figures, including former Vice President Edward Ssekandi, Energy Minister Ruth Nankabirwa, Defense Minister Vincent Ssempijja, and Inspector General of Government Beti Kamya, among other guests.
The weekend event follows last year’s ceremony where Edith introduced Ssendaula to her parents in Lwezo-Bugobango in the Butambala district.
Ssendaula, who was born in Kyabbogo, now Masaka City, on May 15, 1943, to the late Edward Byansi Kalibbala and Maria Nakanwagi Nakato, is the oldest among eight siblings—six brothers and two sisters. Ssendaula served as Masaka district chairman and later became an MP for Bukoto South and finance minister.
Ssendaula is a renowned commercial farmer. He grows maize, tomatoes, cabbages, watermelons, onions, pumpkins, beans, and coffee. He is also involved in the business of beef and dairy cows, goats, and sheep.
