Promising talent Ava Peace, whose real name is Namugonza Maureen Peace, has disclosed that her lowest point in life so far was when she organized her maiden concert and only her relatives attended. The Shabada singer made this revelation during an interview on Galaxy TV.

According to Ava Peace, her first-ever concert took place at her church, and she had only one song, which she had yet to even record. However, she decided to hold a concert, creating banners and engaging in other promotional activities. Despite hoping for a substantial turnout, it turned out to be a complete failure, with only her auntie and siblings in attendance.

Nonetheless, the singer recovered from the ‘shock’ and aggressively continued to pursue her dream of becoming a successful musician.

Ava Peace was officially introduced to the Ugandan entertainment industry after releasing ‘Nsitula,’ a song she recorded alongside Spice Diana and Daddy Andre.

Currently, she is one of the promising female talents in the country and is being managed by Jeff Kiwa, known for his contribution to the Goodlyfe duo of Radio & Weasel and Sheebah Karungi.

Meanwhile, Ava Peace is looking forward to holding another concert at one of the biggest venues in the country.

Who is Ava Peace?

In many of her interviews, Ava Peace says she was born on January 13, 2000, at Mengo Hospital. Her parents are Kato Gonzaga and Christine Nakamatte.

She was raised in Kyengera, a suburb of Kampala, where she spent her formative years with her six siblings.

In 2019, Ava Peace began her professional singing career. It was during this time that she garnered recognition for her collaboration “Nsitula,” featuring Spice Diana and Daddy Andre.

This landed her a deal with Black Market Records, who signed her. Her most significant breakthrough arrived last year after releasing “Shabada” featuring Mudra D Viral. The song ascended to the top of local music charts.

Building on that momentum, Ava Peace released “Dada,” a song that also captivated audiences. Since then, her career has been on an upward trajectory.

Meanwhile, also in 2023, Ava Peace graduated from Makerere University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences.
