Wife stabs husband to death, keeps body in bedroom for two days

Police in Mukono have arrested Musimenta Ruth, a 30-year-old housewife and employee at NJ Business Solutions, for the murder by stabbing of her husband, Nsubuga James.

The incident happened on the night of May 17-18, 2024, at their marital home in Katikamu village, Mpoma Parish, Nama sub-county in Mukono district.

The police preliminary report indicates that the wife stabbed her husband around the neck area while he was sleeping.

The suspect then kept the body of the deceased in the bedroom for two days, until May 19, when it was recovered by police.

“The Criminal Intelligence task team picked up intelligence indicating that the suspect was arranging to bury the body in a shallow grave near the toilet. The murder weapon, a knife, was recovered. Two army shoes and a toy pistol that belonged to the deceased were also recovered from the house,” said the police.
