Rotarians from district 9213 concluded the three-day 99th Rotary District Conference (Discon) last Saturday at Speke Resort Munyonyo in an award-winning dinner, bringing style and cheer to a blend.

Under the Great Gatsby theme, the dinner that doubled as the governor’s banquet was a showcase of fashion, appreciating flapper dresses, fascinators and body socks for the ladies and a black-tie affair for the men, with a few notable statement tailcoats in sight.

The cheerful Rotarians also toasted to the new District Governor elect, Anne Nkutu from the Rotary Club of Naalya and bid farewell to the outgoing District Governor Edward Kakembo Nsubuga, courtesy of Uganda Breweries Limited under the WhiteCap Crisp and Johnnie Walker brands.
