Kampala Metropolitan Police has arrested a driver attached to the Ministry of Health for stealing a government vehicle that was used in the transportation of delegates during the NAM and G77 plus China summits in January of this year.

According to Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan deputy spokesperson, a government motor vehicle, registration number UG 0053N under the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, which was assigned to transport delegates during the NAM and G77 summits, went missing after the summits concluded.

The case was reported to the police, and investigations commenced. Last Thursday, police arrested Musiime Mathias, a driver attached to the Ministry of Health, who admitted to having stolen the vehicle.
