Singer Beenie Gunter real name Crescent Baguma, has finally returned to Uganda from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where he has been for over a month.

The singer was arrested in mid-January this year while on his way back to Uganda. However, he was released from a detention center in Abu Dhabi but was barred from leaving the UAE.

He was facing charges for his alleged involvement in a scuffle with event promoters. The altercation attracted the attention of local authorities, especially as the property at the bar where the incident occurred was reportedly vandalized. The bar owner is seeking compensation for the damages resulting from the scuffle.

However, the singer returned to Uganda last evening and was welcomed by his girlfriend and son at Entebbe International Airport.

Sources reveal that his travel ban was lifted by the UAE authorities after the promoters committed to compensating the bar owner.

Welcome back, Beenie!
