Police, utilizing their CCTV cameras, are hunting for individuals who picked up money after an envelope belonging to Denis Seruli, containing Shs28 million, cracked open along William Street in Kampala. The incident occurred last Friday at around 5 pm.

According to police spokesperson Fred Enanga, authorities were alerted about the incident. However, by the time officers intervened, only Shs890,000 of the Shs28 million was recovered. Additionally, two people were arrested.

“It costs little to hire a police guard from CPS and pay less than Shs20,000 to have a police officer escort you. This should serve as a lesson to those transporting money that the public is eager for it and will readily seize the opportunity,” he said.
