Ugandan long-distance runner Jacob Kiplimo emerged triumphant at the Valencia Ibercaja 10-kilometre race held in Valencia on Sunday.

Kiplimo’s stellar performance not only secured his first-place finish but also positioned him close to breaking the world record set by Rhonex Kipruto in 2018.

The 10K race witnessed Kiplimo’s dominance from the very start, as he covered the initial 5 kilometres in an impressive 13 minutes and 30 seconds. Maintaining the lead throughout the race, Kiplimo crossed the finish line with a remarkable time of 26:53.
