As Kampala City and its suburbs undergo significant roadworks, resulting in various road closures, organizers of the upcoming 19th edition of #RoastAndRhyme have taken proactive measures to mitigate potential traffic congestion by releasing alternative routes for attendees.
The ongoing construction projects have posed challenges for road users who may not be aware of alternative diversion routes, leading to significant traffic disruptions.
In anticipation of the 19th Roast and Rhyme event scheduled for Sunday, November 26, at Jahazi Pier Munyonyo, organizers have unveiled a route map to ensure a smooth flow of traffic.
For attendees travelling from Kampala City, two alternative routes have been suggested. The first route involves using Nsambya – Konge – Buziga, followed by Munyonyo. The second option is to pass through Kibuye – Salaama Road before reaching Munyonyo.
Residents of Bukoto, Ntinda, Kisaasi, Kyanja, Kiwatule, Nalya, Najjera, and Kira are advised to utilize the Northern Bypass, connect to the Entebbe Expressway through Kajjansi, and proceed to Munyonyo.
The 19th edition of Roast and Rhyme is set to officially launch the festive season and promises an unforgettable lakeside experience.
Early bird tickets are currently available at 70k, while gate prices are set at 100k. For groups of five attending together, a special group ticket is priced at 300k. The first 10 groups to purchase tickets will receive complimentary drinks, a grill, and meats for roasting, enhancing the overall lakeside experience.
To secure tickets, attendees can make online purchases through roastandrhyme.com or opt for added convenience by using mobile money via *291#.
As the city gears up for this event, the organizers aim to ensure that attendees enjoy not only the music and festivities but also a hassle-free journey to and from the venue.
