A student of  Soroti Secondary School has withdrawn from the ongoing Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams due to unexpected mental health issues.

The headteacher, Alfred Okiria Oluka, explained that the student had been doing well during the exams until Tuesday when he began shouting during an afternoon paper. This prompted school authorities to contact the student’s family.

Julius Oluma, the father of the affected student, expressed concern about this sudden development, noting that his son had never experienced mental health problems throughout his childhood.
