In Burkina Faso, a medical doctor has been sent to the battlefield after he criticized President Captain Ibrahim Traoré for his perceived inability to effectively address the issue of terrorism in the country.
Captain Traore came to power through a military coup last year and has faced numerous challenges, including attacks by terrorist groups.
Since 2015, Burkina Faso has been embroiled in a cycle of violence instigated by jihadist groups affiliated with both the Islamic State and Al-Qaeda. This violence has resulted in the displacement of over two million people within the country.
Reports indicate that Dr. Ahmed Diallo, a medical doctor, expressed his concerns regarding the country’s struggle against terrorism, asserting that the President had failed to effectively combat the issue.
In response, the government reportedly arrested Dr. Diallo and sent him to the battlefield to gain a firsthand understanding of the realities of terrorism.
