Renowned Hip Hop artiste Daniel Kigozi, aka Navio, marked two decades in the music industry with an electrifying concert last night at the picturesque Sheraton Hotel gardens.
This milestone event also coincided with the 50-year celebration of Hip Hop, making it an unforgettable night for music enthusiasts.
Navio’s collaboration with Hennessy, which named him as their ambassador, provided attendees with a VVIP experience. Hennessy’s impeccable service was readily available throughout the night, adding to the overall enjoyment of the event.
Navio, who began his musical journey with Klear Kut, showcased his versatility with four sessions, two accompanied by a live band and two using CDs.
Out of his catalog, Navio and his team carefully curated a selection of 27 tracks for the concert. The enthusiastic crowd’s reaction throughout the show indicated that they had made an excellent choice.
Navio’s performance included a mix of solo hits and memorable collaborations. The audience eagerly sang along to classics such as “Ngalo,” “Njogereza,” “Nawuliranga,” “One and Only,” “Kata,” “Hammadi,” and “Bugumu.” Collaborative performances featured tracks like “Whistle Song” and “Mr. DJ” with Viboyo and Vampino, “Mwana Weka” with Flex D’Pepper, “Omu Kwomu” with Young Mulo, “Fly” with The Mith, “Dream” with Lyrical G, and “Survivor” with Lilian Mbabazi, among others.
Navio’s stage presence was nothing short of spectacular, changing costumes four times during his two-hour performance with short, seamless breaks.
The lineup also included other artists like Martha Mukisa, Mickie Wine Lamu, Nina Roz, Maro, Zulitums, St Maximen, and Triple S, who provided solid support.
Talent Africa, responsible for producing the show, ensured that the sound quality was top-notch, and supporting acts delivered concise performances, keeping the audience engaged throughout.
Every section of the venue offered an excellent view of the highly elevated stage, providing Navio’s dedicated fans with the unforgettable performance they deserved.
