Businesswoman hacked to death by workers over unpaid salaries

A well-known businesswoman in Luwero district has been hacked to death by her own workers over unpaid salaries. The incident happened on Thursday in Namakofu village, Zirobwe sub-county, Luwero district.

Kyayagadde Yudaya aged 47, was attacked by a group of workers on her farm around 11 am.

According to Sam Twineamazima, the Savannah region police spokesman, they got an alert from vigilant neighbours and they sent a team of officers to the scene. However, the workers had already fled the scene.

The victim’s body was taken to the City Mortuary Mulago for a thorough postmortem examination, as part of the ongoing investigation.

The police are now on a manhunt for the suspects.
