Singer Cindy Sanyu has expressed her enthusiasm regarding the proposed battle concert arrangements featuring her and Sheebah Karungi.
Earlier this week, Victoria University extended a formal invitation to both Sheebah and Cindy for an upcoming “productive musical battle” event.
During an interview on a local television channel, Cindy expressed her initial readiness to host a comeback concert solely for herself. However, she has since exhibited her willingness to adjust her plans and engage in a head-to-head showdown with Sheebah.
She, however, highlighted her preferred specifications for the impending musical clash.
“Rather than having two separate stages, we should share the same stage, bask in the same vibrant lighting, and groove to the rhythms of the same band, among other key elements,” she said.
Responding to Sheebah’s assertion that she boasts a greater number of hit songs, Cindy replied, “Talented artists create timeless classics; it’s not about the quantity but the quality. Releasing a multitude of songs isn’t necessary when your hits stand the test of time. Why exhaust yourself with a yearly barrage of 40 songs if your hits are already making waves?”
The highly-anticipated musical battle between Cindy and Sheebah is scheduled to take place on September 15 at Kololo Airstrip.
