KCCA FC sign 21-year-old Brazilian winger Gabriel

KCCA FC have announced the signing of Brazilian winger, Joao Gabriel Esteves Cardoso.

The South American penned a two-year deal until 2025 and he becomes the first Brazilian to sign for KCCA FC.

Gabriel arrives at KCCA FC from ADC Cabofriense in Brazil, bringing his skills and experience to the team. Born in Rio de Janeiro, the winger has previously represented Brazil’s Flamengo in the U17 category in 2018 and played for their U20 team from 2019 to 2020. He has also showcased his abilities in Germany’s FCA Darmstadt.

The signing of Gabriel marks KCCA FC’s first move in preparation for the upcoming 2023/24 season. Additionally, he becomes the first recruit under the leadership of Sergio Traguil, the club’s new coach.

Expressing his enthusiasm about joining the team, Gabriel stated, “I’ve always had an interest in playing in Africa, and I’ve been closely following KCCA FC for a while now. I’m truly impressed with their style of play, and I believe I can integrate well with the team. I’m also excited to immerse myself in African culture and perform in front of passionate fans. My goal is to contribute to KCCA FC’s pursuit of the league title,” as reported on the club’s official website.
