All this week, social media platforms have been awash with best birthday wishes to the Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.
People irrespective of their age, political, religious, and tribal affiliations are wishing Kabaka a happy 68th birthday.
However, a 8-year-old pupil at Nalya’s Hillside Nursery and Primary School chose to deliver his birthday wish in a ‘traditional’ way.
Nelson Kassagga, who is in Primary Three wrote a letter to His Majesty the Kabaka as a sign of love and respect.
Kassagga claims that his mother, Mary Kyebadaza, told her that writing a letter by hand is a sign of love and respect, which is why he wrote the letter to the Kabaka.
Kassagga disclosed that his parents already purchased him a kit in preparation for tomorrow’s Kabaka Birthday Run.
Themed “Men Against HIV& AIDS to Save The Girl Child”, this year’s run is intended to drive awareness about HIV/AIDS and encourage men to be at the forefront of the fight against the disease by urging them to get tested, treated and ultimately protect women against infection.
