Several nations have already secured their spots at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in Ivory Coast as the qualifiers for that tournament near their conclusion.
The 2023 AFCON competition, which will be held in Ivory Coast from January to February 2024, will only feature 24 nations.
The countries are placed in 12 groups, with four teams making up a group starting from Group A to Group L. Only the top two teams from each group will qualify for the 2023 AFCON.
The remaining AFCON qualifying fixtures will take place from 12-20 June 2023 and 4-12 September 2023.
Burkina Faso, Algeria, Ivory Coast, Tunisia, Morocco and Senegal have already secured qualification.
Nigeria, Guinea Bissau, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Namibia, Egypt, Guinea, Ghana, Mali, Congo, and Gabon are in pole position to make it to Ivory Coast.
