Uganda Cranes will be back in action this evening for a reverse fixture against Tanzania at Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium. The East African derby kicks off at 5 pm.
This is a make-or-break tie for both the Cranes and head coach Milutin Sredojevic alias Micho.
Uganda goes into the game seated rock bottom in Group F with one point. The group is led by Algeria with nine, Tanzania comes second with four points while Niger has two points.
The Cranes need to bounce back from their underwhelming performances if the team is to dream of getting the campaign back on the rails.
Coach Micho is fully aware of what is at stake and he thinks his charges have put the loss on Friday last week behind them and are ready to open a new chapter.
“One detail can take you to hell and the other can take you to heaven and that is what happened in the last match. We now have a chance for redemption in this game and we are coming here to fight for maximum points,” Micho said.
“I have full trust in the players and they know how crucial this game is and are hoping for positive results,” he added.
