Uganda Hippos forward Rogers Mugisha has been named in the AFCON U20 Best XI of the just concluded Total Energies AFCON U20 tournament in Egypt.
The tournament was won by Senegal, who beat The Gambia 2-0 in the finals on Saturday.
Mugisha, who plays for UPDF was named the man of the match in the Hippos’ opening game against Central African Republic.
The forward together with his teammate defender Rogers Torach were named in the Best XI of the group stages. The Hippos were knocked out of the tournament in the quarterfinals by record champions, Nigeria.
Meanwhile, the best XI of the tournament was dominated by the champions Senegal with four players.
Nigeria, Congo, and Gambia all have two players respectively.
