Uganda Hippos will play against Nigeria in the quarterfinals of the ongoing AFCON U20 tournament in Egypt.
The Hippos finished top of Group B with five points after managing a goalless draw against South Sudan on Sunday.
Congo also drew goalless with Central African Republic in the other group B game, to finish level on five points with Uganda.
With both teams having the same goal difference, a coin toss was conducted to determine who finished as the group winner. And Uganda was drawn first out of the pot.
The team will now face Nigeria, who finished second in Group A.
The Flying Eagles (Nigeria U20) are the AFCON U20 record winners, having won the title seven times.
If the Hippos manage a win over Nigeria, they will advance to the tournament semifinals and earn a spot in the FIFA U20 World Cup in Indonesia in May/June 2023.
