President Yoweri Museveni has released a list of newly appointed senior presidential advisors in different categories.
On the list, Museveni has promoted fellow Bush War veteran Hajji Abdul Nadduli to the position of Senior Presidential Advisor on Political/Mobilization, where he will have the terms and benefits of a cabinet minister.
The announcement of Nadduli’s reappointment comes after his criticism of the ruling NRM party, which he claimed could face catastrophe if it doesn’t clean up its continued mess.
Meanwhile, the president has retained his brother, Gen. Salim Saleh, and his son, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, as Senior Presidential Advisors on Defence and Special Operations, respectively.
Other appointments include; Dr. Specioza Wandira Kazibwe – Senior Presidential Advisor on population, and health issues under the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ezra Suruma – Senior Presidential Advisor on Finance and Economic Planning, Chris Rwakasisi – Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Duties, and Amelia Kyambadde – Senior Presidential Advisor on Industry.
Also, Prof. Edward Rugumayo – Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs, Hajji Abbey Walusimbi – Senior Presidential Advisor on Diaspora Affairs, Ambassador Klaus E. P. Holderbaum – Senior Presidential Advisor on Tourism and Investment, Monica Azuba Ntenge – Senior Presidential Advisor on Works, Mary Karooro Okurut – Senior Presidential Advisor on Media, Ephraim Kamuntu – Senior Presidential Advisor on Constitutional affairs, Hajjat Hadija Namyalo Uzeiye – Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs, and Maj. (Rtd) Kakooza Mutale – Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs.
Florence Mutyabule – Senior Presidential Advisor on Poverty Alleviation (Busoga Region), Fred Kabagambe Kaliisa – Senior Presidential Advisor on Oil, Gas and Minerals, Mary Amajo – Senior Presidential Advisor on Public Service, Elizabeth Kuteesa – Presidential Advisor on Police matters, Geraldine Namirembe Bitamazire – Senior Presidential Advisor on Education Matters, Sam Engola – Senior Presidential Advisor on Lango Affairs, and Prof. Sheikh Mohamed Ahmed Kisuule – Senior Presidential Advisor on Middle East.
