Diamond Platnumz has over 7.2 million YouTube subscribers on his channel, since joining the streaming platform on June 12, 2011.
The award-winning singer also has over 2 billion (2,022,827,769) total YouTube views.
The second-most-followed African musician on YouTube is former WCB Wasafi signee and Next Level Music CEO Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa, better known as Rayvanny.
The BET Award winner has a total of 4.23 million subscribers and over 862 million views on his channel. He joined the platform in March 2016, after being signed by Diamond Platnumz.
Last year, Rayvanny announced his official exit from Wasafi in order to concentrate on running his own label, Next Level Music (NLM).
Konde Music Worldwide founder and CEO Harmonize is the channel’s third-most-followed African musician. The “Never Give Up” hitmaker has over 3.7 million subscribers and over 841 million views.
He joined the platform in October 2015 after being signed by Diamond Plantnumz’s Wasafi Record Label. They parted ways in 2019.
Number four is Nigerian singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy. Burna Boy has over 3.5 million subscribers and over 1.8 billion total views.
Number five is singer and songwriter Chukwuka Ekweani, popularly known as CKay. The Afrobeats star, who has been topping charts with his global hit “Love Nwantiti,” has over 3.6 million subscribers and over 1 billion views.
Number six is Congolese singer Fally Ipupa, with over 3.29 million subscribers and over 1.3 billion views.
Nigerian singer Davido is ranked seventh on YouTube, with 3.2 million subscribers and over 1.2 billion total views.
Flavour, a multi-talented recording artist from Nigeria, is in eighth place with 2.84 million subscribers and over 1 billion views.
In position nine is Nigerian singer REMA. He has over 2.7 million subscribers and over 822 million total views.
Wizkid comes in tenth place with 2.5 million subscribers and has over 1.5 billion views.
In position 11 is Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo. The “Sitya Loss” singer has over 2.1 million subscribers and 658 million total views.
