Singer Cinderella Sanyu, popularly known as Cindy, has said that the upcoming reunion of the renowned girl group Blu*3 is not a permanent comeback. Instead, she describes it as a special get-together in response to the longstanding demand from their fans.

Blu*3, formed in 2004 under the management of Steve Jean, swiftly gained immense popularity in Uganda and across East Africa. Comprising three talented members, namely Jackie Chandiru, Lilian Mbabazi, and Cinderella Sanyu, the group produced hit songs such as “Nsanyuka nawe,” “Hitaji,” “Frisky,” “Tomalaako,” and “Mutima Gwange.” These tracks not only captivated audiences but also left an enduring mark on Ugandan music enthusiasts, who fondly recall the joy these songs brought.

The trio recently announced their intention to host a special event titled the “Blu*3 Reunion” at the Skyz Exclusive venue on December 14, 2023.

Speaking about the anticipated reunion, Cindy clarified that their collaboration is primarily an exploration of joint performances and collaborations, driven by the desire to satisfy their dedicated supporters.

“We are collaborating and performing together, but Blu3 is not making a comeback. My career is progressing well, and I’m fully focused on it. However, we can come together for special shows,” stated Cindy. Additionally, Cindy hinted at the possibility of releasing new songs for their loyal fanbase, revealing that they are currently in the studio working on fresh material.
