Centenary Bank and StarTimes Uganda have announced the renewal of their strategic partnership. The announcement was made by Fabian Kasi, the Managing Director of Centenary Bank, alongside Bruce Augus, the CEO of StarTimes Uganda, at Mapeera House.

During the renewal announcement, Kasi emphasized the significant benefits that both companies have derived from the partnership.

“Today, we announce the renewal of a partnership that has proven successful through contributing to financial inclusion and sustainability. There is no better time for Our Bank to extend this partnership than now when we are celebrating 40 years of transforming lives. This event today is a testament to who Centenary Bank is and how determined we are in making a positive change to lives,” noted Kasi.

He further highlighted the bank’s strategic goal of growing the Renewable Energy portfolio to reduce environmental pollution and enhance financial inclusion, with this partnership playing a crucial role.

“We are glad to inform you that the new partnership has new products, which include a solar package, addressing the climate change challenge. This is in line with Centenary Bank’s sustainability goals and directly resonates with one of our values, which is environmental stewardship,” Kasi commented.

Bruce echoed the sentiments about StarTimes’s commitment to promoting safety in the environment.

“The past year has been a testament to the success of our partnership with Centenary Bank. Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones, from surpassing sales targets for LED TVs to venturing into the solar solutions space. We are grateful for the continued support from Centenary Bank and look forward to further innovations and shared successes in the coming year.”

“Our mission as StarTimes Group is to ensure that every African family can access, afford, watch, and share the beauty of digital TV. Extending power solution would make it possible,” added Bruce.

Centenary Bank’s commitment to growing its Renewable Energy portfolio aligns seamlessly with StarTimes Uganda’s mission to provide accessible and sustainable energy solutions to off-grid customers.

For a better customer experience, this service will be available across the different sub-regions of Uganda in all Centenary Bank and StarTimes branches. In addition to the financing aspect, Centenary Bank will continue to be a key collector of StarTimes fees through its CenteMobile Money platform.
