On Sunday evening, music enthusiasts were treated to the long-awaited premiere of the first episode of Season Two of the Tusker Malt Conversessions on Tusker Malt Lager’s YouTube page. The inaugural episode featured none other than East Africa’s beloved artist, Juliana Kanyomozi.

Crafted with the same finesse as the premium beer brand Tusker Malt, the 43-minute episode unfolded Juliana’s captivating life story, both musically and personally. The show commenced with a heartfelt dedication to her late brother, Prince Edward Freeman Kim, who passed away earlier in the week.

The episode kicked off with Juliana serenading viewers with “Twalina Omukwano,” one of her cherished songs. She continued to captivate the audience with soul-stirring performances of “Nabikoowa,” “Nakupenda,” “Kanyimbe,” “Right here,” and concluded with “Sanyu Lyange.” Each song resonated with various emotions, showcasing Juliana’s depth of feeling and unmatched vocal prowess.

The ‘Conversessions’ segments that followed each performance provided an intimate glimpse into Juliana Kanyomozi’s personal experiences, grief, and reflections. In one particularly meaningful ‘Conversession,’ Juliana addressed her love life and the complexities of motherhood—subjects she usually guards with privacy.

Discussing the media’s intrusive comments about her love life, Juliana remarked, “My son has a wonderful father, and he reads that stuff… Life is life; you can’t control people and their actions. If the people in your life know who you are and trust you, then what more do you want?”

Opening up about the joys of motherhood, she expressed, “Being a mother is the best job in the world. These moments are priceless, and if God chooses to make me a mother one more time, I’ll be happy.” Her heartfelt words allowed fans to witness her vulnerabilities and strength as both a celebrity and a mother.

Beyond the musical enchantment, the meticulous artistry that goes into brewing Tusker Malt Lager was mirrored in the careful attention to detail in producing Conversessions. Elizabeth Mutamuliza, the Brand Manager of Tusker Malt, UBL, promised an unforgettable experience for music lovers in this new season.

“This season, expect a show like no other; one where the soul of the artist meets the soul of the brewer. Tusker Malt is brewed longer to give that unmistakably rich, smooth taste, and in the same light, the Conversessions focuses its soul on delivering a premium experience for music lovers out there, with an expertly crafted production,” she stated.

The Tusker Malt Conversessions, a series of short music concerts by the iconic music label Swangz Avenue, bring together Uganda’s greatest talents in an intimate setting to perform and discuss life and the industry. A new episode will be revealed monthly, and viewers can catch both previous and new episodes on Tusker Malt and Swangz Avenue YouTube channels.
